<p>A total solar eclipse is an awe-inspiring event in nature that few have had the opportunity to experience. Totality by Big Kid Science is an educational app that aims to broaden the understanding of eclipses and help individuals locate upcoming eclipses worldwide. This free app, now under the ownership of the nonprofit American Astronomical Society, provides insightful features:</p>
<ul>
  <li>An interactive map showcasing the visibility of upcoming annular and total solar eclipses at any location globally, alongside a retrospective analysis of recent eclipses, utilizing eclipse code generously offered by Xavier Jubier.</li>
  <li>Through your phone's GPS, the app can inform you about the visibility of these eclipses at your current location and suggest nearby locations for observing annularity or totality.</li>
  <li>Navigation tools are available to guide you to the best route for witnessing the path of totality.</li>
  <li>The Learn section furnishes learning opportunities on safe solar eclipse viewing practices, scientific insights into eclipses, and additional educational resources including classroom activities.</li>
  <li>The Shop segment provides access to remarkable space and science books (including a children’s book tailored for the app), eclipse glasses for safe viewing at any time (not exclusive to eclipse events), and links to select space education nonprofits.</li>
</ul>
<p>This advertisement-free app is a collaborative effort between Big Kid Science and the American Astronomical Society, serving as a public service initiative. Available in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese based on your device’s language settings.</p>
